1)This commercial quotes the poem, The Laughing Heart by Charles Bukowski.

2) I thought that the use of the poem by the corporation is ironic because we usually take the corporations ideas and use them. This time it's the other way around.

3) The poem makes a whole lot of sense when you learn about his background. He was abused by his dad and felt like an outsider due to his severe acne that cause his face to be disfigured. His poem talks about getting out of the darkness and into the light. My interpretation of that is the dark being the period of time he was alone and abused and the light being now, the upside of his life.
